Eternally Yours · Generation 4

Chapter 4.31

Note from SweetPoyzin: Thank you so much for hanging in there while I dealt with family emergencies, finals, and a teeny-tiny summer break.  Here’s a filler chapter to catch us up before we start flying ahead!

Greetings from Salmon Woods!  Apparently, I got my mom’s “run when the shit hits the fan” gene.  After getting robbed and losing Grandpa, I packed my bags and hit the road.  Of course, this also meant I dropped out of college so Mom and Dad stopped providing childcare.  Probably not my best decision but I found a work-around.

See, it turns out that Willow and Sonia didn’t end up where they thought they would either.  So with the money from my one house, I bought three very, very small houses and asked Willow and Sonia to move in.

“Oh good.  You bought a compound.”  Sonia is ever the optimist.

“No!  Not a compound,” Willow chimed in, “we’re like sister wives!”

“Willow, don’t ever speak again.”

Obviously, there were some kinks to work out given that we are three very different women but I like to think we’re making it work.

And after a few months we’ve got living together mostly down to a science.  Willow pays her bills by selling paintings at the consignment shop.  When Sonia isn’t growing our food, she writes children’s books.  As for me?

Well, I’m an art dealer now.  It’s not nearly as glamorous as it sounds.  I work out of a shady building downtown.  The hours are long and the pay is nominal but it’s in the art field and I don’t need a degree.  So I’ll take what I can get for now.

It works out well with Violet, too.  She gets to hangout at home with “Aunty” Sonia and “Aunty” Willow and her “cousins” Noah and Timmy.

She and the boys get along great!  Oh, and free child care again!

Plus I know that Violet is going to get a good lunch in her tummy, lots of hugs and kisses, and adequate naps and playtime.  While I hate leaving her, at least I know that Willow and Sonia will treat her like their own.

Did I mention that I don’t have to potty train Vi?  HUGE PERK!

Willow did promise to leave the big things to me and for that I will always be grateful.  The house is quiet once everyone goes home at night but they’ll always be back…bright and early tomorrow.

      1. That explains a lot. I do have a question. How do you keep your game save from becoming bloated? You move towns and such and manage to keep older Sims around to invite over. Is there a secret you have? I’ve had to move my Crowns to new saves and have lost my family tree and the ghost bodies of everyone important (my founders).

  1. Love the ghost baby!! He is definitely something new for me, even after all these years of simming! Sounds like Dani is making some progress, and lucked out on the potty training!! =)

  2. I’m glad you’re liking Salmon Woods. There’s only one thing that *I* don’t like: The resorts aren’t operated by NPC characters. You have to wait *hours* just to get checked in!
