Note from SweetPoyzin: Sorry these few chapters won’t be super great. I took the screenshots for them in January and drafted the photos in February so I’m a little iffy on what my plan was back then.
It was the ass crack of dawn but I’d already been awake 5 times.
Violet did not care one bit. She didn’t give a rat’s ass that I had to be in town to register for classes in a few hours. Nope, she was having none of it.
Luckily, my mom was on top of it. She must have popped over super early because I had a fresh pot of coffee and homemade raspberry jam for my fresh baked scone.
I inhaled the scone and a cup of coffee. And then I had a second cup of coffee outside. It’s not that I didn’t want to hear Violet if she cried but I needed to hear some birds for a bit.
Naturally, since the rest of the world needed to function, Violet slept. I was able to shower and get dressed without a peep from Miss Beanie. By the time I was ready, Mom was over and ready for some Grandma time.
“Don’t toss her around too much, Mom. I’ve still got to kiss her goodbye!”
“She’ll be fine, honey!”
Needless to say it was not fine and both Violet and myself required a change of clothes.
After many hugs and kisses Mom finally kicked me out. She assured me that she had raised four babies who were perfectly fine, which is not wrong, but it was the first time I was leaving my baby. She’s only a couple of months old for goodness sake! Assuming she’ll be fine is easier said than done.
I got registered easily enough but then immediately had homework. I was asked to sketch some things so they knew where I stood. I wanted to sketch a self-portrait giving them the bird but I settled for some plants.
After turning in my sketches, I found Aiden working out in the commons. I challenged him to a shootout. I’m pretty sure I won. I might be a little bit competitive…
There was nothing more for me to do after registration except wait. Classes don’t start for another two weeks. I headed home to find that Mom had brought some leftovers to me for dinner. I gobbled that right up. It was better than takeout pizza or burnt mac and cheese again.
Before bed, I dragged Beanie’s baby swing up to my bedroom. I dropped Beanie in and she chirped until she fell asleep. I buried my head under the pillows and passed out. Best night’s sleep ever.
