Eternally Yours

Bad News

I did a very bad thing.

In trying to make my game faster, I somehow deleted my saves…and then emptied the recycle bin.  Eternally Yours went with it.

My last complete hard drive backup was December 29, 2014 so I stand to lose a fair amount.  I think I lost the pregnancy, some yet announced things, several remodels, Simon’s birthday, and four lovely builds.  But it gets worse.

When I went to restore my backup, my Windows system got corrupted.  I don’t know if the backup itself was bad or if the system read it wrong.  Either way, my man is trying desperately to salvage my system and my game if possible.

As of this morning my computer is still not functional.  It is possible I lost the December 29th backup.  If that is the case then the most recent backup I have is from April 2014.  I’m not sure what the fate of Eternally Yours will be if this is where I have to restart.

For more information, please follow the blog on Facebook where I will be posting quick updates.  I will not be posting here until I have more concrete news.

It appears everything is lost. Hubs is going to connect the hard drive to see if the game files are salvageable. If not, my last backup is from April of last year.

Eternally Yours will not be discontinued but it’s going to take me awhile to figure out where it is going. With school starting, don’t expect another post in the near future.

I’m sorry.

  1. So sorry to hear that! That sucks big time. Keeping my fingers crossed that the 12/29 backup is salvageable. Just know that whatever happens, you should keep writing. I’m a fan! You always have just enough sarcasm and quirkiness to make the story an interesting read, and I’ve enjoyed every update. Best of luck to you! *hugs*

    1. So many of my fans want the story to continue so the show WILL go on regardless of what I am able to recover. My little writer brain has already started thinking about where the story will go should everything be lost.

  2. Oh no! That’s awful, sweetie! I’ve lost a few hard drives and games before, but never anything of this magnitude. I’m so sorry that you’ve lost all this. So much work! So many stories! Please keep us posted on what will happen next.
